About ME

Director. Educator. Encourager.

Kris Ramos serves as the Director of Lakewood Little People, the early childhood education ministry of Lakewood Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. With more than three decades of experience in education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, she brings both depth and heart to her work with children, families, and the teachers who serve them.

Kris is the creator of The Inspired Llama, an online resource dedicated to supporting parents and educators through practical tools and faith-filled encouragement. Her passion for play-based learning, childhood development, and Christ-centered leadership shapes everything she teaches, and believes, about the value of early childhood work.

Her sessions are known for being warm, real, and deeply motivating. Attendees leave feeling equipped to teach with intention, lead with grace, and rediscover the joy of working with young children.

When she’s not leading or speaking, you’ll find her traveling or hiking with her husband and their dog Monty collecting stories, inspiration, and plenty of llama-themed treasures along the way.
