TELL ME A STORY

Turning children’s words into stories

Story dictation builds powerful bridges between speaking, reading, and writing. In this session, teachers learn simple prompts and processes to help children tell their stories, and see their words come to life on the page. Walk away with a repeatable routine that strengthens language skills, connection, and classroom confidence.

WHAT CHILDREN NEED TO LEARN

Seeing each child fully

Every child enters the classroom with different and unique personalities, experiences, and needs. Teachers will learn the basic concepts of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and how it applies to meeting individual student needs in the classroom.

THE FREEDOM TO TEACH

Leading with playful purpose

Good teachers know it in their gut: God made young children to learn best through play. In this session, teachers will learn research, strategies, and language to share with parents, colleagues, and supervisors to confidently lead and advocate for play-based classrooms.

MINISTERING TO YOUR STAFF

Guiding hearts, not just hands

Our staff members are people with complex personal lives, goals, and challenges. Every day they bring all of that to work with them, whether we like it or not. As leaders, we have an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our team members. In this session we will examine the benefits of ministering to our teachers and how to integrate that into current practices.

MINISTERING TO PARENTS

Ministering beyond the classroom

As directors, we have a unique opportunity to minister to the families of the children in our program. As Christians we have a calling to love these parents and grandparents that entrust their children to us. Let's examine how we can go beyond our ministry to children and how we can effect real change for the entire family and community.
